Free Mobile Phone Games Community - Help Us Help You!

We need your help to make MobileRated.com the best it can be. MobileRated.com is a free and open community and depends on the contributions of developers and consumers.

Developers contribute by loading their games to the site. Some are promoting a try-before-you-buy game, or may make money from in-game advertisements, but most are simply sharing their joy of games. The quality can vary greatly - the hobbyist games are sometimes the best - but we don't prejudge anything and accept all content as long it works. If you're a developer, learn more here.

What Can I Do?

PLAY THE GAMES (hey, they're free!)

Take some time to browse our site and maybe discover something new. Or Sudoku. Either way, enjoy yourself; the games are all free and you're welcome to download as many as you want, whenever you want. There are absolutely no strings attached but, if you value our service, please consider taking the time to give back to the community.

PROVIDE FEEDBACK - WRITE REVIEWS

The most valuable thing you can do is write reviews for the games you play. By rating and reviewing games, you help other users find the best games and avoid the duds. By providing constructive feedback in reviews you help developers improve their games. And by giving your "thumbs up" to a game you've enjoyed, you're making all the effort the programmers put into the game worthwhile (don't underestimate the value of that - writing good games is very hard work!).

You may notice that some games are labelled as "beta tests". These games are not yet 100% complete and the developers are still working on them. This is the BEST time to give feedback, so they're still able to make changes before they're done. Note that developers often use beta-tests to ensure their games work on many different phones so, if you have more than one phone, please test the games on each.

If you have a problem with a game, submit a review - please! Hey, no one likes download or installing a game only to find it doesn't work. Take a moment to submit the review so that no else has to experience the same thing. You may notice that some reviews reporting problems aren't made public on our site. This is because, if a game is not working, we will remove it (perhaps just for single problem phone) until the developer can resolve the problem, at which point the review is obsolete. This isn't a bad thing, this is a good thing! Please take the time to submit reviews.

PROMOTE THE GAMES (and this site)

For a programmer, hearing that someone likes your game is great. But it doesn't compare to the feeling you get when you hear that 50,000 people like your game. Here's what you can do to promote the games you like:

Post it to a social bookmarking site like Digg, FURL, etc. We've made it easy; there are buttons at the bottom of each game page, just above the user reviews.
Blog about it, or copy part of your review to your favorite forum along with a link. If you have a website, add a link there.
Finally, tell your friends - there's nothing like a direct recommendation from a friend.
