OVERVIEW

The 5ud0ku Midlet is a J2ME game providing Sudoku puzzles (Number Place puzzle) for your java enabled mobile phone or PDA.

From Wikipedia's SuDoku:

'The aim of the canonical puzzle is to enter a numerical digit from 1 through 9 in each cell of a 9×9 grid made up of 3×3 subgrids (called "regions"), starting with various digits given in some cells (the "givens"). Each row, column, and region must contain only one instance of each numeral. Completing the puzzle requires patience and logical ability.'

MOTIVATION

For Sudoku quite a lot generators, solvers and helpers exist. There are also some good J2ME Midlets. The 5ud0ku Midlet is designed to match to ivonne's and case's player natures and it is free of charge. Most preferred of the features are the pencil mark support and the colored display of the numbers.

Some of the current features have been suggested or even implemented (especially by Vlad) by people around the world and I am happy, that there is so valuable feedback from the community!

Very good implementation! I like undo and the fact that it actually generates puzzles at 3 difficulty levels. Gives you time stats in the end too.

this is great! i love the pencil feature... this app does exactly what i want a mobile sudoku app to do. its great-- i recommend it to all sudoku fans.

It is a good functional version of Sudoku. The first puzzle it gave me was very easy but I hope there is a way to ask it for harder puzzles.

I am using it on a dual-slider (Samsung Exclaim) and it does NOT work with my QWERTY keyboard at all (even if I FNC to the number buttons) but it works with my reg phone numerical buttons just fine. Would be awesome if it let me use either one! :)

I used to have this game on my Blackberry Curve 8310 and I loved it. I give it a 9 on a 83xx. But on the Bold the image is too small and kind of hurts my eyes.
